Please sign this petition if you would like the City of Sonoma and Caltrans to work together in creating a safer intersection at 7th & W. Napa Streets -- for both cars and pedestrians.

IMy mother still lives on Curtin. This is a dangerous crossing. It is super hard to get on to Napa from 7th. You have to pull into the middle lane often waiting minutes before being able to merge. People cutting down 7th to Curtin, to avoid the light at 5th, drive WAY to FAST and makes for a very dangerous route for us that live on those streets. The crosswalk put up the way on Napa is not well thought out.

I grew up in the immediate area and still have family living there. I walk and drive there frequently. The Seventh Street West and Napa Street intersection is dangerous. I don’t understand why they put a lighted street crossing further west down Napa Street. It should have been placed at the Seventh Street West crossing as it is used more frequently.

I've walked, rode a bike and driven across this intersection and it does not feel safe. Even less safe the older I get.

I am at this intersection daily, in a car, as a pedestrian, or on a bike. It is very dangerous and busy. Impossible to turn left from 7th St West onto Napa much of the day. On bikes, when traffic stops, I have nearly been hit twice when an impatient driver goes around the stopped traffic. Also, many drivers will use 7th St West to Curtain Lane as a cut through to avoid the light at 5th St and Napa, driving far too fast in a residential neighborhood.

Dangerous crossing for many seniors who reside in area.

Because there’s a need for better traffic control and safety measues in this area. There is plenty of residential housing, as well as multiple senior communities, public library and businesses that would greatly benefit from an easier transition through this intersection, greater safe passage across Hwy 12 and easier, safer access for pedestrians and businesses on both sides of the street.
